Privacy Policy

Plain-language privacy information for athletes, parents, coaches, and teams using Team Track XC.

Introduction

Team Track XC respects athlete privacy and is designed to support training, team organization, and goal tracking for cross country and track programs.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Team Track XC collects, how that information is used, how Strava data is handled, and how athletes, parents, and coaches can contact us with privacy questions.

Information We Collect

Information we collect may include account details, athlete profile information, team membership, workout logs, training notes, mileage, cross-training entries, shoes, goals, and related training data.

Account Information

When a user creates or accesses an account, Team Track XC may collect account information such as name, email address, login provider, profile image, team membership, role, and authentication-related records needed to operate the service.

Team and Athlete Profile Information

Team Track XC may collect athlete profile details such as name, grade, team affiliation, goals, profile photos, shoe information, race results, PRs, and related information entered by the athlete or authorized team staff.

Workout and Training Log Information

Workout and training log information may include running mileage, workout type, duration, pace, cross-training, lifting minutes, shoes, effort, sleep quality, soreness, pain, and notes entered into Team Track XC.

Strava Data

If an athlete chooses to connect Strava, Team Track XC uses Strava's OAuth authorization process. We only access Strava data the athlete has authorized.

Strava data may include activity details such as activity type, distance, duration, pace, elevation, date, and related workout information.

Team Track XC uses Strava data only to import the athlete's activities into their own Team Track XC training log, display training progress, and support individual goal tracking inside Team Track XC.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate Team Track XC, maintain user accounts, support teams and athletes, display training logs and progress, support goal tracking, provide coach tools, troubleshoot issues, protect the service, and respond to support requests.

How We Do Not Use Information

Team Track XC does not sell Strava data, share Strava data with advertisers, use Strava data for advertising, or use Strava data to train artificial intelligence, machine learning, or similar models.

Team Track XC does not publicly share an athlete's Strava data.

How Information Is Shared

Team Track XC does not sell personal information. Information is shared only as needed to operate the service, support authenticated users, comply with legal obligations, protect the service, or provide team features within the app.

Coach and Team Visibility

Team Track XC includes team-based features for athletes, coaches, administrators, and approved guardians. Private training information is only available to authenticated users with appropriate access under Team Track XC's permission structure.

Strava account connection details and OAuth tokens are not shown to coaches or teammates. Imported workouts are not publicly shared.

Data Retention

Team Track XC retains account, team, and training data while an account or team relationship is active and as needed to operate the service, maintain records, resolve support issues, and comply with applicable obligations.

If a user disconnects Strava, Team Track XC stops importing new Strava activities. Previously imported activities may remain in the athlete's training log unless deletion is requested.

How to Disconnect Strava

Athletes may disconnect Strava at any time from their Team Track XC account settings. Athletes may also revoke Team Track XC access directly from their Strava account settings.

Once disconnected, Team Track XC will stop importing new Strava activities.

How to Request Data Deletion

Athletes may request deletion of their account or imported Strava data by contacting support at support@teamtrackxc.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request."

Please include the email address associated with the Team Track XC account and a clear description of the data you want deleted.

Security

Team Track XC uses technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect account, team, and training information. No system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, but we work to protect user data and limit access to authorized users.

Children/Student Athletes

Team Track XC is designed for school and team environments and may be used by student athletes with support from parents, guardians, coaches, or team administrators.

Parents, guardians, coaches, and teams are responsible for ensuring that student athlete use is appropriate for their program and complies with applicable school, team, and local requirements.

Team Track XC may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with the effective date.
